This is your chance to be directly involved in the legislative process. If you have an idea for a law or an idea to amend a current law – then this site’s for you. Please click on the below image to fill out the suggestion form. When you are finished press “submit” and your idea will be sent directly to my office.
All prospective laws must be received by December 1, 2011 for consideration. I will review every submission – and when I find the best one or two ideas that I feel would indeed be a good addition to our State Statutes – I will draft, with your input, your bill and will file it (them) during the 2nd Regular Session of the 96th General Assembly that starts on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.
That is just the beginning. From there you will follow your Bill through the committee process – and hopefully on
to the House Floor for Perfection – Printing and Third Reading. At that point it is on to the Senate and hopefully to the Governor’s desk.
All great pieces of legislation came from one citizen’s idea – Be That Citizen!
